Stephanie
Nosco

Stephanie is a yoga, meditation, and Qigong teacher based in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Her teaching style and philosophy have developed out of years of exploring Buddhist and Taoist studies, as well as through using movement, breath, and meditation as the primary support for her own physical and emotional well-being.

Stephanie's yoga journey started at the age of 15 when she began practicing Vinyasa Yoga to cope with adolescent turmoil. This curiously led her to India, where she began her yogic studies. Since then, her life has been committed to furthering her understanding of the connection between body, mind, and spirit.

Stephanie has been teaching yoga for over a decade and is trained in Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Medical Qigong, and Spring Forest Qigong. Stephanie’s primary yoga teacher is Sarah Powers, a co-founder of Yin Yoga and the Insight Yoga Institute, by which Stephanie is endorsed. Stephanie is deeply inspired by her Medical Qigong teacher, Wendy Lang, and her mentor in Chinese Alchemic Healing, Lorie Eve Dechar.

In addition to a degree in Religious Studies, Stephanie has a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. Since Stephanie has become a therapist, she has expanded her understanding of the depth of the human spirit, which now deeply informs the way she delivers material and what she focuses on in yoga and meditation classes.

With over a decade of experience leading yoga teacher trainings, silent retreats, workshops, and classes, Stephanie is most interested in bridging the gap between ancient teachings and modern life to help people reconnect to what is meaningful. Stephanie views Yin Yoga, meditation, and Qigong as methods to re-awaken what we already know. Her teachings are based on the principle that empowering this inner knowing is the true guide toward genuine health and well-being.
