Jo offers over 15 years of experience in leading Vinyasa Flow classes that are devoted to creating a sacred space in which you can channel energy towards transformative and life affirming means. This is done through intention, dedication, prayer, conscious breath, sound and movements that reflect radical self care in the truth of the moment. Vinyasa is an unhurried exploratory and creative flow that is steeped in the traditions of yoga master Krishnamacharya and the yoga traditions of Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga. With over 20 years of practice and devotion to the healing arts including; meditation, Shiatsu & 5 Element Theory, Energetic Bodywork, Prenatal/Post Natal yoga, Nutrition, Anatomy/Physiology and Core Shamanism; Jo brings into the practice a reverence for the mystery of life and encourages all students to practice with spontaneity by stepping into the unknown.

Meditation

Level 1 10 mins

This mindfulness meditation helps you develop the compassion to become a ray of light during turbulent times. Closely tune in to your sensations and follow a guided visualization technique to immerse yourself in practice and feel a sense of oneness with your surroundings. This meditation is narrated by Jo Tastula and overseen by Glo’s Yoga & Meditation Expert, Sara Ivanhoe, M.A.

Yoga

Level 2-3 45 mins

This higher-level Vinyasa practice focuses on exercises that are a counter-balance to a regular Vinyasa flow sequence. Get ready for lots of Cactus Arms, isometric contractions, and shoulder stability techniques. Move through a strengthening series with Plank and Side Plank, Crescent to Temple to Warrior III, Dolphin to Forearm Plank, and Bow Pose, then cool down with Supine Twist and hip openers. Meditation

Become mindful of different inner and outer pressures that can either hold you back or propel you forward. Concentrate on the movement of your body with your breath to explore aspects of pressure, energy, and space that surround you. This meditation is narrated by Jo Tastula and overseen by Glo’s Yoga & Meditation Expert, Sara Ivanhoe, M.A.
